Avalanche will release the Cortina upgrade code, followed by the activation of this upgrade

ChainCatcher news, Avalanche announced that it will release the pre-release code for the Avalanche Cortina upgrade on the Fuji testnet on March 27, with the Cortina upgrade set to activate on March 30 at 23:00. The latest version of AvalancheGo will migrate the X-Chain to run on the Snowman++ consensus, making the X-Chain compatible with Avalanche Warp Messaging and making it easier for exchanges to support the X-Chain.

The Cortina upgrade also introduces simplified batch delegator rewards and increases the C-Chain Gas limit. The simplified batch delegator rewards streamline the fee distribution for validators with a large number of delegators, processing in batches throughout the node's validation period and distributing upon node unbonding. Additionally, Cortina increases the C-Chain block Gas limit to 15 million Gas, up from the previous limit of 8 million Gas per block. (source link)
