Binance.US hires four lawyers for defense, including a former co-director of the SEC's enforcement division

ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, Binance.US has hired four lawyers from the law firm Milbank LLP, including George Canellos, the former co-director of the enforcement division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), to defend against U.S. allegations of operating an illegal securities exchange. George Canellos is currently the global head of the litigation and arbitration team at Milbank and previously oversaw about 1,300 lawyers at the SEC. Before that, he was the head of the Major Crimes Division at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York.
