Ripple has joined the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) cross-border payment working group
ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) recently announced the establishment of a Cross-Border Payments Interoperability and Extension (PIE) working group, which includes the blockchain-based digital payment network Ripple.
It is reported that the working group aims to strengthen cross-border payments and achieve the G20-recognized cross-border payment goals. The working group will improve access to payment systems, extend operational hours, and establish connections between different payment systems, including linking APIs and messaging.
Ripple will collaborate with other working group members such as Mastercard and SWIFT to achieve the BIS's goal of enhancing cross-border payment interoperability.
