Vitalik: EIP-4844 lays the foundation for future scalability through DAS, which can accommodate 128 blobs in the future

ChainCatcher news, at the 2024 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin delivered a keynote speech titled "Building on Ethereum in the 2020s." He stated that EIP-4844 lays the foundation for future scalability through DAS (Data Availability Sampling). The current DAS can accommodate 3 blobs (approximately 375 kB), the next phase of PeerDAS will support 8-16 blobs (approximately 1-2MB), and the final complete DAS can accommodate 128 blobs (approximately 16MB).
