Osmosis has launched the V25 upgrade and will soon burn 1.3 million OSMO

ChainCatcher news, the Cosmos ecosystem DEX Osmosis announced on platform X that the V25 upgrade has been approved by Osmosis governance and is officially live today.

This upgrade includes: the introduction of a new top-of-block auction mechanism, which will become a new source of revenue for the protocol; a burn mechanism, with 1.3 million OSMO tokens to be burned shortly after the V25 upgrade; the activation of a smart account mechanism; and consensus improvements, aiming for a block time of 2.5 seconds, down from the current target of 3 seconds, among others.
