The RGB++ protocol has been upgraded to RGB++ Layer, introducing bridge-less cross-chain and smart contracts to all UTXO chains

ChainCatcher news, according to a tweet from the RGB++ protocol author, RGB++ will upgrade to RGB++ Layer, which will feature cross-chain functionality without bridges and smart contract capabilities, extending to all UTXO chains.

In addition, the RGB++ browser and DeFi infrastructure based on RGB++ Layer will also be launched soon. This will enable complex financial applications to be introduced on the Bitcoin layer, including UTXOSwap, Stable++, ccBTC, LST CKB, and more. At the same time, RGB++ Layer will also expand to other UTXO chains, such as BCH, BSV, and Dogecoin, and support other layer one asset protocols, such as Runes and BRC20.
