Foreign media: It is expected that OpenAI's losses will reach $14 billion by 2026

ChainCatcher news, OpenAI reported a loss of $340 million in the first half of 2024. OpenAI's projections indicate that the company will not achieve profitability until 2029, at which point its revenue is expected to reach $100 billion.

According to an analysis of data included in OpenAI's financial documents, before reaching this point, the company's losses could amount to as much as $14 billion by 2026, nearly three times this year's expected losses, with total losses from 2023 to 2028 projected to reach $44 billion. This estimate does not include stock-based compensation, which is one of OpenAI's largest expenses, even though it is not paid in cash.
