ChainCatcher News, Chinese national Zhimin Qian (also known as Yadi Zhang) has been convicted in the UK for her involvement in a cryptocurrency fraud case, with the amount involved exceeding £5.5 billion (approximately $7.4 billion). The Southwark Crown Court in London announced on Monday that the 47-year-old Chinese woman pleaded guilty to illegally obtaining and possessing cryptocurrency.

According to a statement from the UK police, between 2014 and 2017, she deceived over 128,000 victims and converted the proceeds into Bitcoin assets. The police stated that the case involved a 7-year investigation covering multiple jurisdictions.
