Chairman Michael Saylor of Strategy hinted at another Bitcoin purchase after the price of Bitcoin dropped to a two-week low of $87,600 late Sunday night. Saylor posted on the X platform, "Back to More Orange Dots," suggesting another Bitcoin buy.

The last purchase by Strategy was on December 12, when they acquired 10,624 BTC, the largest since late July. Strategy currently holds 660,624 BTC, valued at approximately $5.85 billion at current prices, with an average cost basis of $74,696. Some analysts speculate that the selling pressure comes from the upcoming interest rate decision by the Bank of Japan.

Prediction platform Polymarket shows a 98% probability that the Bank of Japan will raise interest rates by 0.25% this Friday. Justin d'Anethan, research director at market consulting firm Arctic Digital, stated that expectations of a rate hike in Japan are leading traders to take profits, anticipating further price declines. Analyst Sykodelic believes that the market has fully absorbed the Bank of Japan's actions.
