U.S. stock market opened, Dow Jones down 0.06%, mining stocks generally rose
According to Jinshi reports, U.S. stocks opened with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.06%, the S&P 500 down 0.05%, and the Nasdaq Composite down 0.04%. Mining stocks generally rose, with Gold Fields (GFI.N), Pan American Silver (PAAS.O), and Harmony Gold (HMY.N) up about 3%, and Coeur Mining (CDE.N) and Newmont Corporation (NEM.N) rising more than 2%.
