Peter Cardillo: U.S. inflation data has not accelerated, but is significantly affected by the war

According to Jinshi News, Peter Cardillo, Chief Market Economist at Spartan Capital Securities in New York, stated that the U.S. CPI data has not accelerated yet. From a year-on-year perspective, the level of 2.4% is not far from the Federal Reserve's 2% target, which is somewhat of a relief. However, this data still depends on the progress of the war. If the war lasts for a long time and oil prices remain at current levels or rise further, we may see higher inflation in the coming months.
